Squidi.net forum is shut down

2010/04/16 3 comments

After taking some abuse from spammers, as well as other unspecified problems, Squidi has decided to shut down his forum. This means right now there is no more forum thread for TinyRPGSim.

You’re welcome to discuss TRS here though, comments are semi-open, which means you have to provide a name and email address, but you don’t have to register.

I will see how to give TRS a better exposure / place to discuss later. Any suggestions are welcome, as always.

Build 014

2010/04/04 Comments off

Here is what I hope is a great build!
I’ve put a lot of effort into better balancing the game this time. I’ve also fixed several bugs, one of them at least old and badly impeding gameplay. And of course, there is a new major feature…

Changelog:

2010-04-04: Build 014
– Fixed absurd Adventurer revival cost.
– Added information about Adventurer revival cost in side panel.
– Applied cost to building purchase.
– Fixed building over building.
– Added proper name to building for purchase.
– Fixed bug with Monster initialization causing wrong HP/damage values.
– Added attack rate increase with Monster level up.
– Tweaked (mostly reduced) HP/damage/attack rate per level.
– Fixed second Town being fully hidden by a wrong overlay.
– Added miniature Adventurer windows to interface, enabling to see at a glance
what they are doing, and jump to their location.

… yes, it’s that last point in the changelog 🙂

I’ve finally added a miniature view of the Adventurers that enables jumping straight to their location. I think that will be a HUGE improvement. Instead of double clicking numerous ‘doors’ to find where the little guys are, you have them all there, neatly arrayed in the interface (or not, you can choose to move around the windows). Oh, and they are even selected when you click, so you’ll be really saving A LOT of mouse clicks 😉
